Lachesis muta

Lachesis, made from the venom of the bushmaster snake, is a deep-acting medication. Its effect is characterized by the following characteristics:

The complaints appear mainly on the left. side of the body, or they catch li. and then go over to the right. Side, whether it's a sore throat, headache, ovarian pain, etc.

Lachesis has all of his symptoms aggravated by or after sleeping (the patient sleeps himself into the aggravation). He has headaches, worse with sleeping, asthma that comes during sleep, breathing stops when falling asleep or while sleeping, etc.

Constriction or constriction is not tolerated. This is especially true for the neck. Touching the collar is unbearable (Sep.) and, for example, worsens the sore throat, or touching the larynx causes shortness of breath. Tight clothing around the stomach is unbearable. Even the touch of the fingers of one hand is unbearable.

Diseases that require Lachesis as a cure are accompanied by a purple-red to bluish discoloration. The face and hands turn blue, bruises form on the skin, or the ulcers look bluish, and in old people, spots form, like dead spots. The veins are varicose dilated and blue.

Lachesis also leads to a tendency to bleeding. The blood is dark and does not clot, it is decomposed and looks like charred straw. Bleeding can occur from any part of the body, for example from the eyes or nose. Ecchymoses (small areas of bleeding under the skin) form, bleeding occurs for a long time after tooth extraction, and retinal hemorrhages also occur. Laughter can also occur in cases of cerebral hemorrhage. prove useful. Another indication of Lachesis is vicarious bleeding, for example nosebleeds in place of menses or nosebleeds with suppressed menses.

The psychological state also has some characteristics: The patients are very talkative and jump from one topic to the next. They are also incredibly jealous (usually for no real reason) and very suspicious. Envy, hatred and selfishness characterize the emotions. Lachesis patients may have very quick comprehension or mental faculties may deteriorate and, among other things, patients may confuse hours or no longer remember what they have read. Lachesis is also a medication for alcoholism and for delirium tremens (alcohol withdrawal delirium).

The Lachesis patient feels worse in spring and summer. He cannot tolerate sun exposure and gets problems as a result (headaches, etc.). Changes in the weather also worsen his condition.

In addition to these general characteristics, there are many other symptoms that indicate Lachesis. Some of these are listed below: Hammering pain (headache, pain in the ovary, hammering in the anus due to anal fistulas, etc.). Hair loss during pregnancy (hair loss after delivery: Lyc., Sulph. and some others). Sensation of a ball or stake in the throat, stomach, rectum, everywhere. Dizziness when closing the eyes. Headache extending to the nose. The tongue trembles when sticking out or is difficult to stick out because it sticks to the teeth.

In the case of a sore throat, the symptoms are disproportionate to the visible findings. Surprisingly, when you have a sore throat, swallowing is much more painful than swallowing liquids. Hot drinks worsen a sore throat. The pain extends to the ear.

As far as the stomach is concerned, there is, among other things, an aversion to bread and to eating in general (even though hunger is present). There are particular cravings for oysters, sour things, indigestible foods (like Calc.) and alcoholic drinks. With laughter. It feels like a ball is rolling around loosely in your stomach or bladder.

Laugh. Also suitable for bite wounds from poisonous animals such as snakes, dogs, rats and cats (especially when a cat bites the thumb).
