This medication works well for conditions that develop in warm weather, or at least in relatively warm weather (for example, in a mild winter). The symptoms don't develop as quickly as, for example, Acon's. or Bell. It usually takes a few days between the triggering cause and the onset of the resulting illness. If the illness then occurs, the patient feels great heaviness and tiredness of the whole body, he trembles and shivers run up and down the back. Colds are often accompanied by a headache that extends from the neck up. Typically, this headache is relieved by copious urination. The patient feels heaviness in the head, eyelids (the upper eyelids droop) and limbs. Body aches can also occur with the flu. The nasal discharge is sore. The patient often has to sneeze and may even have fits of sneezing.

The patient has an aversion to company and prefers to be alone.

During the fever he has little or no thirst.

Another important indication of gels. are complaints that arise from tension of expectation, for example diarrhea before an exam or a visit to the theater, fear of a public appearance or a visit to the doctor (see also Arg-n.).

Gels. has many symptoms that arise from disorders of the nervous system, such as tremors, weakness, paralysis (for example of the upper eyelids), visual disturbances. It cures headaches when these are preceded by visual disturbances such as blindness, cloudy or blurred vision.
