Curriculum vitae — Katrin Quak

Physician · Homeopathy · Fürstenfeldbruck

After a longer career break for raising children, Katrin Quak (*1969) settled with her husband in 2009 as a homeopathic physician in Fürstenfeldbruck.

She studied as a scholarship holder of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation at the medical faculty of LMU Munich. Early on, as the eldest daughter of paediatrician Barbara Brökelmann, she took an interest in homeopathy and complementary medicine. Through the LMU homeopathy working group and the Wilsede meetings of the Carstens Foundation she developed a lasting appreciation of classical homeopathy.

As a young mother of three daughters she completed her studies successfully in 1996. Her homeopathic training was rounded off as a resident with Michael Barthel; as a student in the Künzli tradition she attended seminars with Horst Barthel and Dario Spinedi. The births of her fourth and fifth daughters kept her at home for some years, while she continued homeopathic and psychotherapeutic further education.

Until 2019, alongside her extensive practice work, Katrin Quak organised the continuing education programme of the HAPA postgraduate academy for homeopathy.

She is a life-experienced physician whose medical and therapeutic advice is especially sought by families with children.

Her eldest daughter studied medicine at Witten-Herdecke and currently works as a physician at Augsburg University Hospital. Her second daughter is a lawyer, the third a business economist, the fourth a teacher. Her youngest daughter began medical studies in 2025.
