Curriculum vitae — Dr. med. Thomas Quak

Physician · Homeopathy · Fürstenfeldbruck

After studying human medicine and completing his doctorate in Munich, Dr. Quak worked for several years as a resident with Dr. med. Michael Barthel, son of Dr. Horst Barthel (Synthetic Repertory) and student of Dr. Jost Künzli von Fimmelsberg (Repertorium Generale). His homeopathic teachers and mentors have been and remain Dr. Arthur Braun, Dr. Michael Barthel, Dr. Horst Barthel and Dr. Dario Spinedi. George Vithoulkas also influenced him strongly.

Since 1997 Dr. Quak has been in private practice as a homeopathic physician, first in a small group practice, later as managing director of a homeopathic practice centre in Munich, and since 2009 in Fürstenfeldbruck.

From 1997 to 2009 the practice grew into one of the larger private homeopathy practices in Germany, supported also by his teaching and training work under his official authorisation for postgraduate homeopathy training, his work for the German Central Association of Homeopathic Physicians, and as a teacher on the Augsburg three-month course. As a long-standing board member of the Hahnemann Society he was also active in professional politics for homeopathy.

Important book projects include the Practical Materia Medica and the Homeopathy Guide, now a standard work in homeopathic training literature.

In 2009 he founded with his wife, homeopathic physician Katrin Quak, the joint practice in Fürstenfeldbruck, where he still works. Until 2019 the small HAPA postgraduate academy regularly ran training events. In 2017 he founded the research institute jaqu-invent. In April 2020 he launched the non-profit society Medsyne to promote scientific research in homeopathy and integrative medicine.

Together with his wife Katrin, Dr. Quak has five daughters and four grandchildren.
